Your responsibilities Ensure Human Resources is aligned with the overall business strategy, to support achievement of the business plan Provide leadership and guidance to the global Human Resources Team Manage the tactical aspects of the Human Resources workflow, to include setting longer-term Human Resources Strategy Collaborate with executive leadership to define the organizations long-term mission and goals; identify ways to support this mission through talent management, to attract, retain and motivate the workforce Cultivate diversity and inclusion initiatives, promoting a culture of mutual respect, to attract, promote and retain a diverse workforce, where everyone can be heard Set, enforce and evaluate human resources policies, procedures, and best practices Lead overall talent management, develop a talent pipeline, development initiatives and succession planning to meet the immediate and longer-term business needs Direct the performance management process, to include compensation and bonus programs Manage the Companys insured and self-insured healthcare plans, welfare and retirement benefits plans, engaging with carriers, brokers and providers, including setting plan design, rate negotiations and renewals, to ensure a competitive employee benefits package Serve as a main point of contact for employee and labor relations concerns Oversee the grievance, arbitration, and collective bargaining process with multiple unions (Operating Engineers, Teamsters, United Steelworkers) across a decentralized and geographically dispersed workforce Advise, coach and train teammates on HR policy, related employment law, performance management and other employee relations matters Work closely as a trusted and confidential advisor to managers, to provide expertise and hands-on support in multiple and related areas that include recruitment, talent management, diversity & inclusion, workforce planning, onboarding, employee retention and change management Conduct timely and thorough workplace investigations, document findings and make recommendations for corrective action, for the individual as well as continuous improvement for the organization Performs other duties as assigned.
