Material Handler

Description

 POSITION SUMMARY 

Supports production operations by receiving, staging, and delivering materials to manufacturing workstations, and by moving completed work between departments. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Pull and deliver materials to production workstations per router and work orders 
• Return excess or non-conforming material to appropriate locations 
• Assist with physical inventory counts 
• Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks to move materials 
• Maintain material staging areas in an organized and labeled manner 
• Record material movements in ERP system 
• Report material shortages to planner or supervisor 

Requirements

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• High school diploma or GED 
• 1+ years material handling or warehouse experience 
• Basic ERP or inventory system experience 
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• Forklift operator certification 
• Experience in a manufacturing environment 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT 

Continuous walking and lifting, exposure to manufacturing environment. PPE required.
