What You’ll Own

As Assistant Manager, you’ll back up the General Manager and help keep our Hotchkiss store running smoothly and responsibly. This role exists to ensure customers get fast, friendly service and the team has steady leadership—especially when the GM is away.

Key responsibilities include customer service and sales support, maintaining store cleanliness and safety, supporting food safety, cash/inventory controls, basic bookkeeping, helping with scheduling, ordering/receiving, product audits, and training team members.

Required skills/qualifications:
- Strong customer-centric mindset and calm, confident leadership
- Solid math skills and comfort with daily bookwork
- Willingness to work varied shifts and step in when needed

A Typical Shift

You’ll start by checking in on the store’s flow—coffee fresh, coolers looking sharp, and the team set up for a great rush. Between helping guests at the counter and jumping into quick food prep, you’ll keep an eye on the little details that make the place feel clean and welcoming.

As the day moves along, you’ll knock out a bit of admin—reviewing numbers, confirming deliveries, and making sure shelves match what the system says. You’ll also spend time coaching newer team members, answering questions, and keeping the handoff between shifts smooth so the next crew can pick up and run with it.
