The Logistics Coordinator manages daily freight movements, driver communications, and dispatch workflows to ensure seamless, on-time delivery. This role combines precise execution within transportation management software (TMS) with strong customer service skills to support the Day & Ross operational network.

How You’ll Help
- Provide complete load information, including routing and directions to ensure drivers are fully prepared for work assignment.
- Ability to Multitask effectively
- Monitor all on-board ELD message communication.
- Maintain accurate and complete files for all records within TMS System – For drivers, trips and customers.
- Answer phones and electronic communication from both drivers and customers.
- Monitor TMS System software for correct trip information and flow.
- Follow all established processes, procedures and protocol.
- Tele-market to develop current and new business opportunities for Day & Ross. Build a portfolio of clients by researching and seeking out prospects via sales calls.
- Cultivating existing brokerage customers for new opportunities for continued growth.
- Negotiating and arranging for transportation of goods.
- Utilize various tools in the ELD System and TMS System systems per company processes and procedures.
- Monitor critical loads, be able to determine when a recovery plan is needed and be able to execute plan to ensure on-time delivery or to achieve other objectives.
- Work with Driver Management Team to coordinate weekend dispatch coverage on a rotating schedule as needed.
- Strong understanding of the trucking industry and knowledge of customs documentation for transborder movements
- Coordinate carrier bookings, following throughout the duration of the order, and communicating with the customer, both positive and negative occurrences as required.
- Other related duties as may be required.

Your Skills & Experience:Â
- Minimum of a high school Diploma or GED, with Logistics experience preferred.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, a working knowledge of SAP small business a plus.
- Experience with the TMW Suite is a plus.
- Communication skills – Very high level of verbal and written communication.
- Demonstrated customer relationship skills and excellent customer service.
- Strong conflict resolution skills.
- Able to work deadlines in high transactional environment.
