Job Summary

The function of Inventory Personnel is to receive, monitor, and maintain all items necessary for the manufacture and sale of Benoit products. Inventory Personnel reports to the Supervisor-Inventory and exercises authority over no other employees.


Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Receive inventory items from external suppliers and internal manufacturing. Perform receiving inspection as directed by the Inventory Supervisor.Ā 
  • Move required products into or out of inventory as instructed and update inventory status in records.Ā 
  • Remove protectors, clean connections, drift, etc., as required by the order to prepare products for assembly and test operations.Ā 
  • Complete required documents when moving items into, or out of, inventory and return completed forms to the supervisor.Ā 
  • Perform scheduled evaluations of inventory conditions.Ā 
  • Assist Supervisor-Inventory in maintaining accurate inventory counts.Ā 
  • Maintain a safe and environmentally clean work area.Ā 
  • Be ā€œON-CALLā€ as required.


Qualifications may include, but are not limited to:

  • Manufacturing or related industrial environment experience preferred
  • Knowledge of drifting, blasting, cleaning, stenciling, thread protection, and loadout procedures preferred
  • General knowledge of precision measuring equipment preferred
  • Basic data entry ability
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and customer specifications
  • Ability to identify product damage and quality concerns
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future


Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to:

  • Lift, move, adjust, push, pull, and carry objects to waist height up to 75 lbs. without assistance when handling shop supplies and up to 100 lbs. with assistance
  • Lift, move, adjust, push, pull, and carry objects from waist to shoulder height up to 75 lbs. without assistance andĀ up to 100 lbs. with assistance
  • Occasional use of computer, phone and copier/printer
  • Frequent standing, occasional walking and sitting
  • Occasional bending, reaching, and use of stairs
  • Operation of forklift
  • Operation of hand tools and equipment
  • Visual acuity to see clearly at various distances, including reading small print or monitoring equipment
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods of time without significant fatigue
  • Frequent use of hand tools and equipment
  • Exposure to noise, temperature variations, and shop environment
