We are seeking an eager, enthusiastic IT Support Technician to join our team with both business skills and IT knowledge! This position will require experience in a network environment. Technician will work closely with the Operations team and IT Systems Analyst in the day to day support of the WMS systems and organization users. The candidate will support and take ownership of user requests or issues to determine course of action for a resolution. Candidate will be a liaison between business, customers, users, third party vendors and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing software and hardware incidents reported through email, phone calls, and ticketing system.
- Create solutions to ongoing issues with procedural documentation following best practices and SOPs.
- Provide technical assistance and training to end-users to prevent future technical issues and improve productivity with efficient configurations.
- Prioritize and escalate tickets based on business needs, impact severity, and urgency
- Manage user accounts, passwords, application licensing, and permissions across multiple systems such as Active Directory, Database Management System, and Onsite Hosts
- Maintain inventory tracking while deploying laptops, printers, and infrastructure equipment.
- Develop solutions to reduce ticket response time and repeat ticket occurrences
Skills:
- Problem solving
- Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication skills
- Windows 10/11 with Office 365 Suite
- Basic Windows server operating systems knowledge
- Phone system knowledge (Avaya a plus)
- Understand network diagrams and architecture layouts for rapid deployment
- Quality focus on end user support
- Basic server administration tasks
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in IT or systems support roles
- Highschool Diploma or G.E.D
- A degree in Computer System or certificate is preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Positive and professional demeanor
- Familiarity with phones, office, 3PL and ticketing software a plus
- Traveling between sites may be required to complete tasks in the Houston/Baytown/Pasadena area. Reliable transportation with clean driving record
