Job Objective:
Manages the Corporate Development team, which handles major capital project development, market fundamentals analysis and reporting, and other special requests as needed.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages and supervises the staff of the Corporate Development team
  • Responsible for evaluating and progressing all major capital projects of the company
  • Handles external commercial negotiations for new major capital projects
  • Handles internal economic analysis, project tracking, and reporting updates to senior management
  • Supervises market fundamentals studies used by A&D team and Regional Asset Teams
  • Analyses trends in market fundamentals looking for new business ideas or acquisition opportunities
  • Works closely with the Evaluations staff in the A&D team to analyze acquisition opportunities
  • Works closely with the Business Development staff in the A&D team to generate new deal leads
  • Analyzes and presents content to drive long-range strategic plan of the company
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Conducts employee performance evaluations
  • Assists with hiring and retention of personnel
  • Adheres to the company’s values – integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation
  • Supports company vision and mission
  • Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings

Qualifications:

  • Fifteen (15) years minimum experience in the energy industry (preferably midstream focused) with success at increasingly difficult job responsibilities
  • Five (5) years minimum experience specific in A&D, Business Development, or finance related roles.
  • Ability to accurately and quickly solve complex commercial and financial problems
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities with minimal guidance
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments, senior management, and outside business contacts.
  • Ability to channel competitive intelligence into transactions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex commercial information into and organized and presentable manner
  • Outstanding management, administrative, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in the use and application of Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, etc)

Education Requirements, Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:

  • Required:  Bachelor’s Degree from and accredited four-year university or college with a degree in Engineering, Finance, or Economics
  • Preferred:  Masters in Business Administration
