Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and schematics.Â
- Assemble, install, and modify electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.Â
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery to secure and assemble parts.Â
- Install finished assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications.Â
- Assemble and attach functional and cosmetic hardware to products.Â
- Perform functional, continuity, startup, and operational testing on completed assemblies and systems.Â
- Troubleshoot equipment and systems, identify issues, and make necessary repairs or corrections.Â
- Prioritize work activities to support production schedules when required.Â
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.Â
- Follow all NOV safety policies, procedures, and HSE requirements.Â
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Supervisor.Â
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.Â
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of assembly and/or mechanical experience required.Â
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.Â
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.Â
- Ability to learn new processes and apply knowledge on the job.Â
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Â
- Ability to work with heavy equipment and industrial machinery.Â
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Â
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.Â
- Ability to work around heavy equipment and moving machinery.Â
- Ability to work at heights and wear fall protection equipment when working above 4 feet.Â
Work Environment
- Works primarily in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.Â
- Regular exposure to loud noise levels.Â
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.Â
- May be exposed to hot and cold temperatures depending on seasonal and warehouse conditions.Â
- Limited travel may be required.Â
Preferred Certifications and Equipment Experience
- Experience operating JIB and overhead cranes preferred.Â
- Experience operating Class II and Class IV forklifts (Order Picker and Hyster 50–170) preferred.Â
- Experience working with fall protection systems preferred.Â
