Project Coordinator
We are seeking a motivated and organized Project Coordinator to assist in the coordination, planning and administration of various design and/or construction contract and projects to ensure delivery within prescribed scope of work and budgetary and time constraints.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 9:00am- 5:00pm (1-2 work from home days/week)
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Project Manager in executing management plan for all capital and internal projects.
• Assists in the coordination and oversight of work activities by construction personnel,
technical professionals, consultants, and other outside agencies to provide support,
resolve concerns and attain project completion.
• Manage project data and communications with external vendors.
• Input data into project system and procurement system.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, submittals, and
progress reports with accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist with contract administration, tracking compliance, amendments, and scope changes
throughout the procurement and project lifecycles.
• Monitors documentation and processing of information affecting required change orders.
• Prepares and maintains various reports and records on project execution.
• Assists in developing contractual budgetary controls, managing schedules, and
establishing/executing the scope of work.
• Track and report project status updates to the project manager.
• Provides timely responses to submittals from construction personnel. Verifies and
processes progress payments and assist to negotiate cost of changes to contracts.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s degree in construction management, Project Management or a closely related field based on the responsibilities of the position.
- Obtained or in pursuit of the Certified Associates in Project Manager, CAPM certification is required.
- Basic accounting and booking knowledge
- Strong understanding of construction estimating, project scheduling, and overall construction management
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of contracts, change management processes.
- Ability to demonstrate strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Work Environment:
- Office based with occasional opportunities to attend site visits or community meetings.
- Minimal travel may be required within local areal.
- Occasional discomforts from exposure to moderate heat, cold, moisture/wetness and unpleasant air conditions.
- Occasional exposure to soiled materials and light chemical substances such as cleaning solutions.
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds
- Occasional periods of walking on rough surfaces
