About the Role
TerraImm is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support our day-to-day accounting and financial operations. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting the overall financial organization of the company.
The ideal candidate is organized, trustworthy, comfortable working with numbers, and able to manage multiple financial tasks while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company
- Record and categorize daily financial transactions
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process invoices, payments, deposits, and expense records
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on accounts as needed
- Maintain organized financial documentation and supporting records
- Assist with monthly and year-end financial closing activities
- Prepare basic financial reports and account summaries for management
- Track company expenses and verify proper documentation
- Assist with payroll-related records and financial information as needed
- Identify discrepancies and work to resolve accounting or transaction issues
- Support accountants, management, and other departments with financial documentation
- Maintain confidentiality of financial, employee, and company information
- Assist with audits, tax preparation, or financial reviews by providing requested records
- Perform other bookkeeping and administrative accounting duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- Previous bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial experience
- Strong understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred
- Spanish language skills are a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Experience working in a professional services, legal, immigration, or administrative environment
- Experience assisting with month-end reconciliations and financial reporting
