What will I be doing? 
ü Reconcile bank statements for agency depository accounts monthly.
ü Prepare and submit timely monthly financials for component business units- GCEDD, LDC and AERCO.
ü Maintain and reconcile EDA loan report.
ü Reconcile general ledger accounts quarterly.
ü Review and verify project codes on expenditures to ensure compliance with grant guidelines and regulations.
ü Other accounting duties as needed.

Key Qualifications  Â
ü Knowledge of Governmental Accounting principles.
ü Strong verbal and written communication skills.
ü Detail-oriented.
ü Ability to accurately perform multiple tasks & prioritize deadlines.
ü Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications.
ü Familiarity with general ledger systems. H-GAC uses MIP accounting system.

Do you have… Â
ü A degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study  Â
ü Less than 1 year of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, school, or in job-related duties
