ROSEN USA, based in Houston, TX seeks to employ a API 653 Certified Tank Inspector for the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) business segment who is career minded with a high level of professionalism to conduct inspections throughout Northern, Central America and the Caribbean.  This position requires individuals to provide exceptional customer service, inspection of above-ground storage tanks and prepare and submit inspection reports in accordance to API 653 standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform API 653 inspections per customer’s scope of work and Rosen’s internal process and procedures.
  • The NDT Inspector will be responsible for preparing and finalizing inspection reports.
  • This person will be assisting customers and field personnel in the preparation, set up and maintaining paperwork connected with each project.
  • Ideal individual will be prepared to progress rapidly in order to advance to levels requiring more knowledge of the basic tool functions.
  • The onsite description will be either at a refinery or a tank farm.  Inspection work is to be done 70% of the time inside an aboveground storage tank.
  • Wall thickness measurements of tank structure and components.

  • Frequently lift and/or move greater than 50 pounds and/or lift greater than 180 lbs. with help of one person
  • Must be able to work on hands and knees and crawl into tight spaces
  • Must be able to work in environment with extreme heat or cold temperatures
  • Ability to work in limited lighting
  • Potential to work in elevated heights

 

 

Qualification or Skills:

  • Must hold a API 653 Certification
  • Extended periods of travel > 60-70%
  • Maintain a valid US Passport
  • 2yr Degree in Mechanical or Electronic discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Maintain a clean driving record
  • Maintain a valid TWIC card (a plus)
  • Computer Literacy – existing knowledge of MS word & excel
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Clean driving record
  • Prior NDT experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (a plus)
  • API 653, 570 or 510 Certification
  • Successfully complete a drug screen test, background check and physical performance evaluation including a vision exam as applicable to the position
