This position supports the Army Prepositioned Stocks – 4 Program located in Camp Carroll, Korea. The Heavy Track Mechanic II will comply with all applicable safety and environmental regulations, local safety policies, and KBR’s Zero Harm program.

Job Summary

The Electronic Maintenance Technician II will serve as COMSEC/C4ISR Technician; responsible for validating system configuration, installing, de-installing, testing, and repairing C4I systems, antennas, power supplies and other communications equipment as required during armistice, exercises and contingencies; identifies equipment configuration shortfalls and provides the government with a corrective action plan. This equipment includes, but is not limited to SINCGARS, AFATDS, Harris Radio, FBCB2, MTS, VIC-3, JBC-P and other communications equipment fielded to AFSBn-NEA.  These duties include, but are not limited to, the following; 1. Installation and testing of C4ISR kits for newly received equipment, 2. Validation of C4ISR kits for newly fielded equipment, 3. De-installation of C4ISR kits for outbound shipments, 4. Equipment draws during contingency/training operations and exercises and 5. Validation and application of MWO's; performs other duties as assigned.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ability to work from technical manuals, work instructions and work orders.

  • Be able to provide a basic tool set equal to a General Mechanics Tool Set.

  • Ability to use maintenance tools, diagnostic equipment, wiring diagrams and relevant technical and parts manuals.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid U.S. Passport.

  • Possess active Secret Clearance is mandatory.

  • Possess a valid State Motor Vehicle Operator License.

  • Ability to provide documentation to qualify as US EXPAT Invited Contractor Status and SOFA Visa IAW USFK 700-19 Regulation.

  • High School/GED plus five years directly related work experience in the maintenance and repair of the Command, Control, Communication, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems.

  • Certification from a vocational school or other recognized source such as a military service related Advanced Individual Training with a focus in Communications/Electronics maintenance is preferred. Successful completion of Combat Communication Course is also preferred.

  • In lieu of formal course work, a combination of college credits, on-the-job training, other formalized training, or experience may be considered. 

  • Must be able to work in a non-temperature controlled environment, heat and humidity.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds to waist level and 35 pounds to shoulder height.

  • Must be able to work in confined spaces.

  • Required to pass initial and periodic medical screening.
