Job Title: AR Collections Specialist (3 month contract)
Department: Shared Services
Hybrid Schedule: Monday - Friday

Summary: The AR Collections Specialist supports daily receivables operations, including payment posting, account reconciliation, collections follow-up, discrepancy resolution, and customer account maintenance to help maintain accurate records and improve cash flow.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

路 Daily - post deposits that are received through the lockbox at the bank, ACH and branch receipts.

路 Resolve discrepancies in payments and/or receipts.

路 Track deposits and report variances to staff accountant.

路 Contact selected group of customers with delinquent open invoices, work with customers as needed to resolve discrepancies.

路 Answers accounts receivable phone inquiries and follows up.

路 Work closely with divisions as needed to resolve discrepancies.

路 Assist in the generation of customer statements to customers based on criteria established by manager.

路 Obtain and mail invoice copies for customers, as requested.

路 Research and process charge backs, returns, and bad checks.

路 Calls and/or mails correspondence to customers as necessary to update accounts.

路 Assists with related special projects, as required.

路 The typical work schedule for this position is Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Education and/or Experience:

路 High school diploma or equivalent required; related degree preferred.

路 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or related field

路 Strong understanding of accounting principles and AR processes

路 Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

路 Excellent communication and customer service skills

路 Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

路 Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
