Assistant Maintenance Supervisor 

Location: Houston, Texas

Join our team as an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor and support the maintenance team in ensuring the physical integrity, general upkeep, and safety of our apartment community. You will assist in coordinating and directing maintenance activities, including repairs, apartment make-ready, preventative maintenance, and construction/rehabilitation projects. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in inspecting, diagnosing, performing, and assigning maintenance team to perform minor and routine maintenance and repairs, including:
  • Electrical and plumbing (including water lines)
  • A/C and heating systems
  • Appliances
  • Interior/exterior lights
  • Boiler, gas, and electric systems
  • Pool areas and equipment
• Communicate assignments to the maintenance team, monitor progress, and provide coaching and advice.
• Ensure maintenance team members have complete instructions, supplies, tools, and safety equipment to complete tasks properly and efficiently.
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure all safety processes are followed.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
• Three years' experience in apartment maintenance.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• HVAC Certification.
• Valid driver’s license required.
