The Associate Asset Manager supports the operational, technical, and compliance oversight of grid-tied energy storage assets. This role focuses on ensuring assets operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with contractual, regulatory, and financial obligations.  The Associate Asset Manager works cross-functionally with O&M providers, OEMs, consultants, market operators, and internal stakeholders to protect asset value and optimize long-term performance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Asset Management team in overseeing the day-to-day performance and operation of grid-tied energy storage assets.
  • Monitor asset performance, availability, and operational KPIs to ensure assets are operating safely and efficiently.
  • Support preparation of internal and external reports related to asset performance, operations, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with O&M providers, OEMs, and other vendors to ensure preventive and corrective maintenance activities are completed in accordance with contractual obligations.
  • Track asset compliance with regulatory requirements, grid interconnection agreements, permits, and market participation rules.
  • Assist in managing relationships with third-party vendors, consultants, and service providers, ensuring performance aligns with contractual service levels.
  • Review operational reports, maintenance records, and performance data to identify issues, trends, or opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the tracking and resolution of operational incidents, outages, and underperformance events, including assisting with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Monitor and track warranty obligations, performance guarantees, and service agreement requirements. 
  • Assist with maintaining and organizing asset documentation, including contracts, technical reports, compliance filings, and operational records.
  • Review vendor invoices and support expense tracking to ensure alignment with project budgets and contractual agreements.
  • Coordinate site visits, inspections, and technical assessments with internal teams and external consultants. 
  • Maintain asset management trackers, compliance calendars, and operational databases.
  • Identify operational risks and escalate issues to senior asset management staff when necessary.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to asset performance, operational processes, and vendor management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy systems, finance, business, or related field (required).
  • 1-4 years of experience in renewable energy, energy storage
