Job Description                           Role and Responsibilities Follows written work instructions Works safely and uses all necessary PPE Escalates any potential safety or quality concerns Performs accurate quality control checks Sorts and places materials and items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, temperature specifications, type, style, or product code Assembles paperwork from Account Coordinator and places orders on pallets or shelves Marks materials with identifying information and verifies accuracy Stretch wrap and band skids Take measurements of freight to be packed, and verify quantities and part numbers Load freight into box. Block and brace the freight properly to ensure stability Close box and apply markings as needed Counts items within service center to ensure conformance to company standards Arranges materials in order of FIFO or other customer specified sequencing Uses computer for inter-company correspondence Prepares parcels for outbound shipments Maintains showcase standards through cleanliness and organization throughout the warehouse by performing housekeeping duties, including picking up and dumping trash Handles tools and materials according to training/regulations and in a safe and proper manner Reads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed Participates in Kaizen or process improvement teams Participates in safety, quality, or other committee memberships as needed Familiarity with regulatory requirements, including but not limited to OSHA and TSA Ability to identify different classifications of hazardous materials Qualifications and Education Requirements 1-4 years of warehouse experience Works with minimal supervision High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Knowledge of Warehouse software required Customer Service oriented Active involvement of continuous improvement initiatives Quality Focused Attention to Detail Time Management Computer proficiency Classification Certification Expresses interest in Leadership Training Preferred Skills Forklift Experience Required Hand tools experience required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to lift 35 lbs.
