Overview

The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Banquet Attendant to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.
The Banquet Attendant will be responsible for set-up of banquet function as prescribed by the banquet event orders.


Responsibilities

  • Set tables, chairs, dance floors and staging according to the instructions from the Captain, Banquet Manager or the Banquet Director
  • Provide prompt and professional service during banquet functions.  Ensures that guest safety is of paramount consideration in the set-up of the room and in the arrangement and performance of all banquet set up needs
  • Mantains comprehensive knowledge of banquet rooms, storage areas, and back of the house operations ensuring efficient utilization and organization of all spaces.
  • Assist guests, clients and meeting planners with changes and movements
  • Knowledagble of all functions and activities in the Hotel during the shift
  • Attend to guest complaints and requests promptly and refers them to the immediate Supervisor
  • Handle equipment with care to avoid accidents, breakage’s and damage
  • Reset all of the Banquet rooms for the following day

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently
  • 2 years previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required
  • Physical demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Prolonged extended periods of standing. Pushing and pulling heavy carts.
