Credence Fine Dining Bartender

Credence is a South Texas ranch-inspired, upscale dining concept exploring Levi Goode's perspectives on South Texas’s food, people, and culture. Sidebar, an exclusive reservation only speakeasy-style cocktail bar draws inspiration from the early-1900s Texas oil boom and will be discreetly connected to Credence. With Credence and Sidebar, we're reshaping the landscape of fine dining and mixology, and we want you to be a part of it.   

Position:  

Credence is seeking skilled bartenders who have a deep knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and wine. Working in conjunction with the Credence Sommelier and Beverage Director, our bartenders will lead the team in all beverage and service tasks. They have an appetite for knowledge and an elevated awareness for creating a team-based, confident, and gracious environment. They strive to provide a memorable experience for both our teams and our guests. The bartenders at Credence will aid in maintaining the bar program, provide continued education for our team, and demonstrate exemplary hospitality and beverage service to our guests.

  • Enthusiastic about establishing an elevated, authentic, Texas experience, rooted deeply in Southern Hospitality 
  • Trusted Journey Leaders, guiding our guests through the ultimate experience, recommending the perfect libation pairing from our Chef-curated menu 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (not limited to): 

Bar Operations 

  • Responsible for daily bar setup, stock maintenance, and ensuring the team's readiness for successful service. 
  • Assist in managing the day-to-day needs of the beverage program  
  • Assist with bar prep (e.g. making syrups, batching cocktails, etc.)

 Service and Guest Experience 

  • Responsible for serving bar guests and providing a memorable dining experience
  • Engage graciously with guests in conversations of varying depths  
  • Passionately assist guests in navigating our diverse Cocktail, Wine, and Beer program, helping them select the perfect drink to enhance their desired experience 
  • Efficiently craft consistent, well-made cocktails 

 Inventory Management and Ordering

  • Assist with proper pours of all beverages 
  • Maintain proper glassware inventory and breakage logs 
  • Assist with inventory audits when inconsistencies occur 

 Training and Development 

  • Help assist with cocktail, spirits, and beer training for new and existing staff, including engaging classes and tastings 
  • Consistently grow, learn, and expand knowledge base


Qualified Bartenders are expected to exhibit enthusiasm, sophistication, and a positive attitude, along with the following attributes: 

  • 4 years of high-volume bartending experience in fine dining or upscale lounge settings. 
  • Ability to demonstrate an extensive knowledge of food and beverages. 
  • Previous involvement in a sophisticated craft cocktail program. 
  • Availability: Available for dinner service, one weekly lunch shift, and an extra day for R&D and prep. 
  • Proficient communication with all business departments, guests, and vendors, both written and verbal. 
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time & lift a minimum of 50 pounds 
  • Maintain a current Food Handler's Certification & TABC Certification
