This role is a full-time associate position within a two-year rotational program, designed as a career accelerator to foster the next generation of leading talent. Rotations occur at the one-year mark and allow for hands-on experience in two distinct roles. Rotations may allow the opportunity for a change in location. Upon program completion, associates are given the opportunity to apply to roles within the Commercial Bank across all business areas and geographies, or explore other opportunities at Capital One. Participation in the program requires that you are located in the continental United States with in-person attendance at your assigned location, in accordance with Capital One’s hybrid working model. The Commercial Rotation Program (CRP) is a two-year rotational program designed to help you launch a challenging, accelerated and rewarding career. You’ll have the tools to build a strong foundation in Commercial credit analysis, Commercial risk management, and other various functions and products offered to clients. You’ll participate in two rotations across various Commercial Bank business areas including Healthcare & Technology, Media and Telecom, Energy Banking, Financial Institutions, Middle Market Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Credit Risk & Analytics. Rotation locations may include McLean, VA; Houston, TX; Dallas, TX; Chicago, IL. Associate placement is determined by business demand, and associates must be open to changing geographic locations at least once throughout this two-year program. You’ll develop a thorough understanding of commercial banking and risk management, while learning fundamentals of relationship management, underwriting and portfolio management. Ongoing training and mentorship from seasoned leaders will help build skills and accelerate your career. Roles and responsibilities include participation in loan origination, structuring, underwriting and risk evaluation of credit facilities, research and analysis of industry and market data to complete financial projections, analyzing financial statements, portfolio and the company to support business development and credit decisions, and ability to prioritize assignments and multi-task with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Ideal candidates possess exceptional interpersonal, verbal communication and writing skills, strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills, and demonstrated leadership and team-oriented traits.
