HealthWealth Pharmacy in Houston, TX is looking for a skilled Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities:Â
- Prepare and compound customized sterile medications according to physician prescriptions and established formulas
- Accurately measure, mix, and package compounded preparations including creams, capsules, solutions, and suspensions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant compounding environment following USP 795 and USP 797 guidelines
- Assist pharmacists with prescription verification, labeling, and quality control checks
- Manage inventory of compounding ingredients, supplies, and equipment
- Document compounding records and maintain accurate logs in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Provide excellent customer service and support to patients and healthcare providers
Requirements:
Â
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license or registration required
- Prior compounding pharmacy experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of USP 795, USP 797, and/or USP 800 guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with pharmacy management software and compounding equipment
- PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-first attitude
