Alpharus Health is seeking a dedicated Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) to provide comprehensive substance use treatment services at our residential community corrections treatment center in Humble, TX, serving adult male and female clients.

Location: Atascocita - 2312 Atascocita Rd. Humble, TX 77396

Work Schedule:Â Monday thru Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Overview: In this role, you will facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, develop and implement personalized treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care. Working in a structured, therapeutic environment, you will play a vital role in supporting clients on their recovery journey. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while advancing your professional growth through clinical supervision, continuing education credits, and tuition reimbursement.

Certified Substance Abuse Counselors are responsible for:
- Completes comprehensive assessments of clients’ substance abuse history and treatment requirements, and develops individualized treatment plan.
- Provides individual and group counseling and may facilitate didactic groups.
- Documents treatment and discharge plans, and clients’ progress and responses to treatment; and maintains related records and charts.
- Performs case management and contributes to client care monitoring.

Requirements:
- LCDC is required
- At least six months previous experience in substance abuse or mental health counseling preferred.
- Master's or Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work or a related field required.
- Experience in a corrections environment preferred.

Work Environment:
- Working with our adult nonviolent clients in a controlled and structured setting for residential treatment

Compensation (based on experience and credentials):
- $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
- Alphaurs Health conducts annual reviews including merit increases.
