We’re seeking a motivated Cylinder Technician to join our laboratory team in Houston, TX.


In this role, you'll work both independently and alongside laboratory and field personnel to help keep operations moving. Whether you're preparing cylinders for deployment, delivering equipment to customers, transporting samples, or supporting day-to-day operational needs, your work directly contributes to the quality, safety, and reliability of the services we provide.


This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, staying active throughout the day, operating equipment, driving company vehicles, and taking pride in supporting a team that delivers exceptional service to customers.


What You’ll Do

  • Inspect, clean, prepare, and maintain sample cylinders in accordance with established procedures and safety requirements
  • Perform routine quality, integrity, and safety inspections to verify cylinders are ready for field and laboratory use
  • Prepare cylinder orders and equipment for customer, laboratory, and field sampling activities
  • Pick up and deliver cylinders, equipment, and samples using company vehicles
  • Support timely and accurate transportation of materials between customer locations, field operations, and laboratory facilities
  • Track cylinder inventory and maintain associated documentation, records, and operational logs
  • Operate hand tools, cleaning equipment, vacuum pumps, steam cleaning equipment, and other tools used in cylinder processing and maintenance
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Assist with inventory organization, equipment staging, and general operational support activities
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Participate in required training programs and safety initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; relevant hands-on professional experience may be considered in lieu of education
  • Previous work experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, field services, laboratory support, shipping/receiving, or related environments
  • Proven mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand tools, cleaning equipment, and operational support equipment
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite for inventory tracking, data entry, and documentation
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Work Schedule & Environment

  • Full-time position with daily local travel using company-provided vehicle
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions and physical work activities throughout the workday
  • Flexibility work outside of scheduled hours, including evenings or weekends, as required
