Trellis Energy is hiring a full-time DevOps Engineer; Mid-Sr level who will help us build, deploy, and maintain scalable and reliable systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure (OCI/AWS/Azure), and automation tools, and enjoys collaborating across teams to improve deployment processes and system reliability. Key Responsibilities:

· Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using modern tools and best practices.

· Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure smooth, reliable, and consistent build, test, and deployment processes across multiple environments.

· Automate and enhance build and deployment workflows using tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Harness, and related technologies.

· Drive modernization of CI/CD pipelines by integrating AI-powered solutions to improve automation, efficiency, and proactive issue resolution.

· Contribute to release management and enforce version control best practices for consistent and traceable deployments.

· Automate infrastructure and operational processes, including environment provisioning, configuration management, and release orchestration.

· Implement and maintain security best practices, including secrets management, IAM policies, and vulnerability remediation within CI/CD pipelines.

· Support containerized applications through Podman, Docker, and Kubernetes setup, orchestration, and lifecycle management.

· Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement of deployment and monitoring processes.

· Develop and maintain documentation and operational standards to ensure repeatability and consistent environment management.

· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the organization.

Required:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

· 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, and Infrastructure Engineering roles

· Strong expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Harness, or similar platforms.

· Experience with configuration management and infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation.

· Proficiency in scripting and automation using Shell, Python, or Groovy.

· Understanding of source control systems (Git) and branching/release strategies.

· Experience with Linux system administration, shell scripting, and troubleshooting.

· Practical knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies including Podman, Docker, and Kubernetes.

· Experience implementing security best practices, including secrets management, IAM, and vulnerability scanning within pipelines.

· Solid troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills in complex distributed environments.

· Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

· Understanding of Application servers such as Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, WebLogic.

· Ability to think creatively and work independently on complex development tasks

Preferred:

· Experience with Relational Databases such as Oracle or MySQL

· Experience with Java/JEE

· Knowledge of AI/ML-based automation tools or a demonstrated interest in applying AI to enhance DevOps processes.

· Recent development experience with a software product company
