Description

  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel fuel trucks, boom trucks, and related equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and drivability issues to ensure safe and reliable vehicle operation.
  • Service and repair brake systems, suspensions, transmissions, steering components, and emissions systems.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fuel pumping and fuel transfer equipment installed on trucks.
  • Review and respond to Vehicle Condition Reports (VCRs), completing all required maintenance and repairs in a timely manner.
  • Accurately document inspections, maintenance, repairs, and parts used in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while following all company safety policies and applicable regulations.
  • Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment to efficiently identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and operations personnel regarding equipment status, repair needs, and maintenance schedules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support fleet maintenance operations.

Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred, or the ability to obtain and maintain a CDL within a company-established timeframe after hire.
  • Experience servicing and repairing air brake and/or hydraulic brake systems required.
  • Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and equipment preferred.
  • Ability to safely use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and shop equipment to perform maintenance and repairs.
  • Basic personal mechanic's tools required; specialty tools are provided by the company, if applicable.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair documentation.
  • Knowledge of and ability to follow applicable safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to accurately complete maintenance records, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
