G‑3 Chickadee—formerly part of Goodyear Chemical—is undergoing a major transformation. As a newly independent, Private Equity–backed organization, we are modernizing our infrastructure, implementing new systems (SAP, MES, cybersecurity), and building a strong operational foundation for continued growth.

We are seeking a Director of Operations Excellence and Transformation, reporting to the Director of Operations and EHS, who will be responsible for leading large‑scale complex programs that drive business transformation and operational excellence, and will serve as the primary Operations representative, accountable for plant performance and the delivery of corporate facilities solutions. 


What You’ll Do

  • Help to develop and implement the Operations strategy for their business and operations transformation. This includes accountability for the primary Operations interface with the business, process technology development and improvement, process safety performance, capital projects, and the business reliability strategy.
  • Own accountability for oversight and implementation of the business strategy within Operations.
  • Maintain close working relationships with the Site leaders and foster and encourage an environment of collaboration between the sites and businesses.
  • Sit on the leadership operations team
  • Set asset strategy in support of business strategy
  • Develop and implement technology strategies aligned to business strategies
  • Drives continuous improvement of technology-based Environmental, Health & Safety performance
  • Work with site/production leadership and oversee technology improvement efforts
  • Lead and develop the technology and improvement organization which support the business
  • Leads programs with notable risk and complexity and observe the dependencies in the program as well as integration with other projects
  • Complete Program performance reports
  • Provide leadership in completing and sustaining the cost savings initiatives in a continuous improvement manner
  • Continued focus on further cost savings and automation support
  • Provide leadership in implementing the manpower study recommendations 

 

What You Bring

 

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemical, or mechanical fields
  • 10+ years’ manufacturing experience

 

Preferred

  • Chemical or refining experience
