Midwest multi-disciplined engineering firm is looking to add an Electrical/Controls Engineer to their Houston team!

Responsibilities:
- Lead design efforts for projects
- Provide constructability review for electrical and automation design documents
- Provide quality and coordination review of shop drawing and O&M submittals
- Mentor/train junior staff
- Design electrical distribution systems (including one-line diagrams, plan drawings, panel schedules, and equipment elevations)
- Design automation, controls, and related SCADA systems for water/wastewater processes (including communications, PLC architecture, instrumentation, and related software and hardware)
- Prepare specifications (electrical, instrumentation, and process controls)
- Prepares Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Prepares detailed control panel wiring schematics, panel layouts, bills of material, communication diagrams, etc.
- Review instrumentation/control system submittal packages
- Review/update design standards to ensure compliance with applicable codes, industry standards, and good engineering practice
- Visit job sites on occasion

Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- 6+ years of Electrical/Controls Engineer experience
- PE License preferred
- Advanced computer skills required
- Experience in AutoCAD and Visio preferred

Salary is commensurate with experience.
