Role is responsible for assisting the Electrician in completing work orders on electrical equipment / projects. This includes but is not limited to testing, troubleshooting and repairing. The Electrical Apprentice will collaborate with other electrical staff to identify and solve issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Read interprets, and executes drawings, schematics, blueprints and NEC and specifications to see and plan layout of commercial electrical equipment installations
Test electrical equipment and parts for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
Installs, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber optic, and line assemblies, lighting, and alternative electrical parts in both AC and DC systems.
Installs, repairs, or replaces generators and industrial storage batteries
Preventative maintenance and testing of electrical systems both AC and DC
Install electrical circuits, as well as panels, conduit, protective devices, switches, and equipment required to accommodate the CEC and/or NEC
Work on electrical failures and replacements
Correct connections and wiring on equipment
Conducts preventative and maintenance programs, and keeps records of maintenance
Complies with all standards and safety requirements both Industry and Enertech safety guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:
Must be willing to travel out of market/state for work on different job sites
Must be able to climb ladder
Must have sound vision to be able to identify different colored wires by sight
May be required to work long hours and meet project deadlines

Minimum Qualifications
Technical Skills:
Able to find the root cause of issues and think logically about solutions
Diagnose problems with critical thinking to repair issues
Read blueprints and schematics and use array of tools and diagnostic devices to service and install electrical parts
Must have valid category five driver’s license
Must be able to successfully pass a background and drug test

Must have strong communication and organization skills
Ability to read blueprints and instructions
Must be able to work with a team to get projects and job completed

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with overtime requirements.

Travel
Travel is required for this position. Usually between 60 to 80% of the time.

Required Education and Experience
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); related trade school education preferred
Must be at least a 1st year apprentice electrician or higher
