We are currently seeking an Electrical Assembler II to add to our growing team.Â
Position Summary & Objective
The Electrical Assembler II is responsible for routing, wiring, assembling, and installing electrical and electronic components for custom HVAC units. This role ensures all wiring and assemblies are completed accurately to specifications, supporting production schedules while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Review work orders, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications to determine assembly requirements.
- Gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials needed for electrical assembly.
- Position components and subassemblies using measurements, templates, and instructions.
- Cut, strip, and prepare wiring to specified lengths.
- Install insulation materials such as sleeves and coverings on wire ends.
- Crimp terminals, eyelets, and lugs using hand or mechanical tools.
- Route, bundle, tie, and secure wiring to terminal points and components.
- Assemble and install control panels, junction boxes, switches, and electrical accessories.
- Inspect completed assemblies to verify accuracy against specifications.
- Perform functional and continuity testing using electrical testing equipment (ohmmeters, test lights, etc.).
- Identify and troubleshoot wiring or assembly issues, escalating as needed.
- Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on tools and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Complete production documentation and quality records accurately.
- Support inventory awareness and material usage.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Qualifications & Skills
- 3 years minimum experience in HVAC, electrical assembly, or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Proficiency using hand tools and basic electrical testing equipment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Work performed in a manufacturing/assembly environment with exposure to production equipment, noise, and industrial materials.
- Possible exposure to fumes, dust, oils, and other airborne particles.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Must wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, protective footwear, and additional gear as required (hearing, respiratory, flame-resistant clothing).
- Requires consistent attention to safety due to use of tools and equipment.
