Job DetailsJob Location: Houston, TX 77086GENERON is a leading company in air and process gas separations. It has numerous patents supporting its proprietary technologies.   Job Summary Responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing industrial electrical systems, equipment, controls, and wiring. The Electrician must be able to read technical drawings, diagnose electrical issues, and perform work safely and efficiently. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Blueprint Interpretation & Layout Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, P&IDs, GA drawings, and technical manuals. Plan and execute electrical layouts, including cable tray and conduit routing. Determine appropriate materials, components, and electrical sizing for installations. Electrical Installation & Wiring Wire and assemble electrical control panels. Install new electrical systems, fixtures, equipment, and components. Install and route cable trays, conduits, and electrical cables. Install, repair, and maintain electrical components on industrial equipment. Install and maintain grounding and bonding systems. Ensure installations meet applicable electrical codes, specifications, and company standards. Testing & Calibration Perform electrical safety and compliance testing. Test power sources, circuits, controls, and digital equipment. Operate and calibrate electrical test equipment, including clamp meters, buzzers, process meters, loop calibrators, and heat meters. Verify proper operation of electrical systems and equipment. Troubleshooting & Maintenance Diagnose and repair electrical faults in industrial machinery, control systems, and equipment. Troubleshoot low-voltage systems, controls, and electrical components. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial electrical equipment. Identify the root cause of electrical problems and implement effective repairs. Safety & Teamwork Follow all company safety policies, electrical safety procedures, and applicable OSHA requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Work independently and collaboratively to complete projects safely, accurately, and on schedule. Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other trades. Qualifications Licensed or certified Electrician (Journeyman or equivalent preferred). 3–5 years of industrial or commercial electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, circuitry, PLCs, and automation. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation. Strong diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to safely use electrical testing and calibration equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
