Job DetailsJob Location: Houston, TX 77041This position is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing electronic equipment used in our manufacturing operations, mainly in automation equipment. This position will ensure that all electrical and electronic systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with our company standards.  DESCRIPTION  Develop preventive and predictive maintenance. Perform preventive, predictive maintenance and total productive maintenance in accordance with standardized procedures. Be able to interact with operators, supervisors, co-workers in a team-oriented fashion towards a common goal. Ability to adjust to changing needs of a fast-paced manufacturing environment, read electrical and electronic schematics, understand technical books and manuals, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, able to research in the Internet for manuals and instructions from components manufacturers. Extensive working knowledge of PLC’s, AC and DC drives, Human Machine Interfaces, etc. Troubleshoot faults and breakdowns using instruments, blueprints, manuals, manufacturer specifications, machine diagnosis, control parameters, PLC ladder diagrams and experience working with machine voltages up to 480 volts. Electronics experience and capable of repairing boards to the component level. Keep records of faults and alarm by date, machine number in computer database. Be able to navigate in the machine system to check operating parameters, and general set up if needed. Programming ability for PLC’s and HMI’s, and drives set up. Troubleshoot downtime in support to production and meet standards. Perform all tasks with a sense of urgency and accuracy.  COMPETENCIES Certification in Electronics Engineering or Associate Degree in Electronics technologies is required. Correct use testing instrumentation to troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues. Very good communication skills and problem-solving ability. A strategic and analytical mind. Efficient time management skills. Mental alertness to identify and react to machine process, quality and safety issues. Effective communication with other team members and other departments’ personnel. Bilingual is a plus. QualificationsEXPERIENCE Previous experience as electronics technician or similar role. A minimum of 3 years of industrial electronics experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem solving. Competence in operating hand and power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments.  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks. Ability of repetitive reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling, carrying, going up and down ladders/steps.  WORKING CONDITIONS The work primarily performed on the manufacturing floor, which may involve exposure to loud noises, machinery, high or low temperatures and chemicals. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is always required.
