About the Role:

The Executive Director serves as the main person responsible for the overall strategic leadership and operational management of the property. This role involves setting long-term goals, ensuring financial sustainability, and fostering a positive organizational culture aligned with the mission and values. The Executive Director acts as the primary liaison between the staff, stakeholders, and the community, promoting collaboration and transparency. They oversee program development, resource allocation, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements to maximize impact. Ultimately, the Executive Director drives organizational growth and effectiveness by inspiring teams, managing risks, and adapting to changing environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations.
  • Proven track record of successful strategic planning and organizational management.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial oversight, including budgeting and fundraising.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience engaging diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with owners and stakeholders
  • Background in the specific sector or industry relevant to the organization’s mission.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and performance measurement tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans that advance the organization's mission and objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage senior staff and overall organizational operations to ensure high performance.
  • Oversee financial management including budgeting, fundraising, and resource development to maintain fiscal health.
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson and representative to external partners, stakeholders, and the public.
  • Collaborate with the board of directors to establish policies, governance practices, and organizational priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and impact, making data-driven decisions to improve outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, community leaders, and other key stakeholders.

The Executive Director utilizes leadership and strategic thinking skills daily to guide the organization toward its goals while adapting to evolving challenges. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively engaging with staff, board members, donors, and community partners to build consensus and foster collaboration.
