Audubon is currently seeking a Foreman to join our team in our Offsite Office. The Foreman manages, trains, and leads a crew of skilled workers or laborers to complete projects safely, on time, and within budget.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and lead a crew of 1-15 employees & Constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures.
  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work: locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
  • Identify all tools required for tasks.
  • Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
  • Must be able to compute basic arithmetic functions, measure, mark, and cut equipment and materials to specification.
  • Knowledge of layout of foundations forms and building framing.
  • Safe use of power tools such as saws, drills, planes, sanders, routers and grinders.
  • Must be willing to work safely and follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
  • Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans for the site team.
  • Regularly report project status to Site Manager and Site Civil Superintendent
  • Work closely with Site QA/QC Leads to maintain appropriate records.
  • Manage Civil/Structural drawing red-line process for site corrections
  • Resolve civil/structural conflicts and miscommunications with all parties and disciplines

Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:

  • All employees are responsible for supporting Audubon Companies’ Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. This includes:
  • Performing duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety
  • Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities
  • Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions
  • Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Related trade school education is preferred.
  • Five years' experience in the construction industry.
  • Five years' experience as foreman.
  • Must have or be able to obtain OSHA Construction Basic Plus Safety Training Card.
  • Civil construction and quality assurance practices and procedures.
  • Construction of safety practices.
  • Proven experience as civil construction carpenter.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and HSE guidelines.
  • Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively.
  • Aptitude in math and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently when required.
  • Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train on proper work and safety procedures.
  • Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing. Individuals must have a valid driver's license and driving record that meets Company requirements.
