Position Summary
The Product Manager owns the end-to-end lifecycle of Heath’s product portfolio—from market discovery through post-launch optimization. This role translates customer needs and regulatory trends in the gas-utility industry into a compelling product roadmap, then partners with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Field Operations to deliver solutions that drive revenue growth, customer retention, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate combines deep product management discipline with genuine curiosity about utility operations, an ability to move fluidly between strategic planning and day-to-day execution, and a track record of shipping products that customers love.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the product vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for hardware solutions; communicate and defend the roadmap to executive leadership and key customers.
- Translate customer and market requirements into clearly scoped product requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria; maintain prioritized roadmap inputs that balances unmet needs, customer value, technical feasibility, manufacturability, and business priorities.
- Partner with engineering and cross-functional teams through product development design reviews, stage-gate activities, spring planning, usability validation testing, and launch readiness discussions.
- Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to define pricing, packaging, and go-to-market positioning for new features and releases; develop messaging, collateral, demos, and sales enablement materials; and conduct continuous market and competitive analysis including customer interviews, win/loss reviews, field rides, and industry conference insights to inform prioritization.
- Build business cases for new product investments, including total addressable market size, revenue projections, and build versus buy analyses.
- Drive cross-functional product launches by coordinating with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Training; support tradeshows, user conferences, and key customer engagements.
- Establish and monitor product KPIs (revenue contribution, margin, customer satisfaction, product quality, field reliability, warranty trends, adoption/use in target applications) and use data to iterate on the product strategy.
- Serve as the voice of the customer internally—champion a customer-centered culture across every team that touches the product.
- Partner on continuous improvement efforts across processes, tools, and team effectiveness.
