We offer luxurious independent living, combined with a seamless continuum of care including assisted living, memory support, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation all on a single campus. Who You Are: We are seeking a candidate with a strong positive attitude toward customer service to act as a Laundry Specialist in our Housekeeping Department. This person will have a genuine interest in working with older adults and be able to engage, motivate, and support both residents and fellow team members. The ideal candidate is dependable, compassionate, and aligned with our values of respect, excellence, and community. Essential Functions: 1.    Washes, dries and folds resident laundry, as required, housekeeping mops and rags, etc. in a manner that will not damage equipment or items being processed. 2.    Sorts garments and contaminated linens, pre-rinses, treats and bleaches as necessary. 3.    Responsible for the proper operation and care of laundry equipment.  Maintains a clean laundry work area and equipment.  Reports equipment malfunctions and/or damaged linens to the Housekeeping Director. 4.    Maintains inventory of facility linens and related laundry supplies.  Marks items, as necessary. 5.    Informs Housekeeping Director of any supply shortages.  Reports all infractions of state and federal regulations by company to the Housekeeping Director or other appropriate personnel.  Attends all in-services and meetings. 6.    Provides support for cleanup of leaks, spills, floods, fire, etc. 7.    Maintain work area and keep the department in compliance with OSHA safety standards. 8.    Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing. 9.    Demonstrates the community hospitality promises towards residents, families, associates and vendors.  Qualifications Must be able to read, write and follow written and verbal directions. High school education or GED preferred, but not required. Position requires a minimum of one year experience in laundry operations, preferably in a hospitality or health care environment.
