Inside Sales Representative – Fuel Services | Emergency Response | HUNTER Role
Position Overview
 We are seeking a high-output, hunter-minded Inside Sales Representative to drive new business across fuel delivery, emergency fueling, and fuel managed services. This is a true new business development role focused on outbound prospecting, pipeline creation, and consistent deal closure.
You will operate in a fast-paced, high-demand environment supporting both routine fuel needs and mission-critical situations such as power outages, natural disasters, and infrastructure disruptions. Success in this role requires urgency, resilience, and the ability to take control of the sales process from first contact through close.
This is not an account management role. Candidates must be comfortable with high call volume, rejection, and performance accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle sales: cold outreach, discovery, quoting, negotiation, and closingÂ
- Generate pipeline through high-volume outbound calling, lead mining, and targeted prospectingÂ
- Identify and win new business across commercial, industrial, logistics, and critical infrastructure sectorsÂ
- Sell and position fuel managed service programs to drive recurring revenueÂ
- Execute frequent and time-sensitive fuel quoting with speed and accuracyÂ
- Respond rapidly to inbound and emergency requests, closing opportunities under tight timelinesÂ
- Consistently meet or exceed KPIs tied to outbound activity, pipeline generation, and closed revenueÂ
- Apply structured sales techniques (qualification, objection handling, closing) to drive deals forwardÂ
- Negotiate pricing and margins in volatile fuel markets while protecting profitabilityÂ
- Partner with operations/dispatch to ensure successful service executionÂ
- Maintain disciplined CRM usage and pipeline visibilityÂ
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience in fuel, oil & gas, energy, logistics, trucking, or industrial marketsÂ
- Proven history of closing net new business in a high-activity, quota-driven environmentÂ
- Strong “hunter” background with heavy cold calling, prospecting, and pipeline creationÂ
- Demonstrated ability to take deals from prospect to close using professional sales methodologies and closing techniquesÂ
- Self-starter with high urgency, competitiveness, and accountability for resultsÂ
- Experience with fuel distribution, fleet fueling, emergency fueling, backup power, or managed services strongly preferredÂ
- Ability to perform under pressure in time-sensitive and high-stakes environmentsÂ
- Skilled in negotiation, pricing strategy, and managing customer expectations in fluctuating marketsÂ
- High daily activity levels with consistent follow-up and pipeline disciplineÂ
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skillsÂ
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales toolsÂ
Work Schedule & Environment
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (in-office)Â
- Limited work-from-home flexibility based on performanceÂ

- May require responsiveness during major outages or emergency eventsÂ
