About the Role:

The Installation Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the successful deployment and maintenance of telecommunications and cable systems. Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in fiber optic splicing and cable installation.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to cable installation and electrical systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in fiber optic installation or splicing (e.g., FOA Certified Fiber Optic Technician).
Experience with fire alarm system wiring and installation.
Familiarity with cable TV system setup and troubleshooting.
Basic knowledge of network equipment and communication protocols.
Ability to operate specialized testing and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities:

Perform installation, splicing, and termination of fiber optic and coaxial cables according to industry standards and project specifications.
