About the Position:

Intuitive Machines is seeking a skilled and proactive IT Systems Administrator to support and maintain our enterprise IT infrastructure in a fast-paced aerospace environment. This role is responsible for ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable systems that support mission-critical engineering, manufacturing, and flight operations teams. The ideal candidate thrives in highly technical environments, understands compliance requirements, and can balance user support with long-term infrastructure strategy.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support a hybrid environment consisting of Microsoft O365 GCC-High, on-prem Windows Server 2022, Linux, Azure AD, and AWS services
  • Manage a mix of new and legacy Dell and HP physical servers, ensuring OS health, firmware updates, and virtualization host stability
  • Support and maintain virtualization platforms including Hyper-V and VMware vSphere
  • Handle Active Directory, GPOs, Exchange Online, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services
  • Implement and maintain security best practices in accordance with NIST 800-171 and CMMC Level 2 requirements
  • Administer SCCM, Intune, and deployment/change management tools to support Windows imaging, updates, and application rollout
  • Support JAMF MDM for macOS device management, including configuration profiles and compliance policies
  • Provide Tier 2–3 support for complex service tickets through Jira, and document environments, procedures, and architecture
  • Assist with SQL Server and Microsoft server products (e.g., WSUS, IIS, RDS) as needed
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, business continuity exercises, and the maintenance of both local and cloud backups
  • Coordinate with InfoSec and Networking teams on system hardening, logging, and patching
  • Occasionally travel to remote sites or facilities for hardware support or IT infrastructure projects

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of system administration experience in mid-size or enterprise Windows environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server, AD, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365 (GCC-High preferred)
  • Familiarity with virtualization (Hyper-V and/or VMware), server hardware (Dell/HP), and hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS)
  • Proficiency with Group Policy, PowerShell scripting, SCCM or Intune, and basic SQL Server administration
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity practices and compliance frameworks (NIST, CMMC)
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and asset/change management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, DevOps, and InfoSec
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency required (due to ITAR/export control)

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Relevant certifications such as MCSA, AZ-104, VMware VCP, Security+, or JAMF 200+
  • Familiarity with network fundamentals (firewalls, VLANs, basic troubleshooting)
  • Experience with backup technologies, patch automation, and mobile device management policies
  • Exposure to space, defense, or aerospace industry environments
