This role is responsible for leading kitchen staff, managing food safety standards, controlling costs, and supporting a positive guest experience through excellent execution.

The Kitchen Manager is accountable for daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, ordering, inventory, scheduling support, training, and sanitation. This leader works closely with the General Manager and front-of-house leadership to ensure smooth service, strong communication, and high standards across the restaurant.

As an integral member of the Team, this position is responsible for:

Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient, high-quality food production
- Maintain consistent food presentation, portioning, and recipe adherence
- Train, coach, and develop cooks and other back-of-house team members
- Monitor food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
- Manage product ordering, receiving, inventory, and waste control
- Control food and labor costs while supporting operational goals
- Create and maintain kitchen systems that support speed, consistency, and quality
- Ensure equipment is properly used, cleaned, and reported for maintenance needs
- Support scheduling needs and labor planning in coordination with management
- Communicate effectively with the management team regarding issues, staffing, and operational needs
- Lead by example with professionalism, urgency, and accountability

Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar leadership role in a full-service restaurant
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation practices
- Experience with ordering, inventory, and cost control
- Ability to train and lead a team in a high-volume environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and peak service periods
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical demands of the role

Preferred Skills
- Experience in Tex-Mex or scratch kitchen operations
- Familiarity with full-service restaurant service standards
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to build team morale and drive accountability

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- Ability to work in hot, fast-paced kitchen conditions
