Shift Available: PM Shift, 3 PM to 11 PM

Pay Rate: $15.00

About the Role:

The Laundry Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens, uniforms, and other fabric items within a facility. This position ensures that all laundry operations are conducted efficiently and in compliance with hygiene and safety standards to support overall facility operations. The Laundry Attendant is responsible for sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing laundry items in a timely manner to meet the needs of various departments. Attention to detail and the ability to operate laundry machinery safely are essential to prevent fabric damage and maintain quality standards. Ultimately, this role contributes to a clean and comfortable environment for both staff and clients by managing laundry services with professionalism and care.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate standard laundry equipment.
• Basic understanding of fabric care and cleaning procedures.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role.
• Familiarity with industrial laundry machines and chemical detergents.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards related to laundry operations.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if required.

Responsibilities:

• Sort laundry items according to color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor laundry cycles to ensure proper cleaning and drying, adjusting settings as needed.
• Fold, iron, and organize clean laundry for distribution to appropriate departments or clients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, including routine equipment maintenance.
• Record and report any damaged or missing items to management.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
