Job Summary

The position of line operator is responsible for the daily inspection, set-up and operation of plating line production equipment and machines with the objective to produce, manufacture products.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Fully understand and follow router steps / job order requirements for example regarding product quantities, material type incl. additional coating, plating and treatment stages, dimensions, marking.
  • Fully understand and follow work / process instructions, equipment and machine operating and product inspection parameters.
  • Daily inspect, maintain, set up and operate production and inspection equipment, and machines in a safe, and health and environmentally conscious manner.
  • Measure and verify process parameters such as solution temperature, voltage, amps, solution time, solution levels.
  • Loading and introducing materials onto plating barrels or racks onto production line.
  • Unloading finished goods onto unloading carts with job traveler.
  • Immediately report any non-conformance to supervisor or assignee.
  • Adhere to all company policies, related procedures, and work-instructions.
  • Follow lead, supervisor and/ or assignee instructions promptly.
  • Material handling, staging, preparation, and finishing –including all transactions.
  • Completion of equipment inspection & provide feedback regarding equipment function.
  • Support analytical chemistry group in chemistry sampling and other tasks.
  • Complies with all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push and pull.
  • Continuous standing and/or walking.
  • Good eye/hand/foot coordination.
  • Ability to work in cold, hot and/or dusty environment, with noisy conditions and occasionally outside in the elements.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
