Local Driver (CDL-A)

Description

We are seeking an experienced Local Driver (CDL-A) to join our growing team in Houston, TX!

Job Summary:

• Company Driver (W2, Solo)
• Full Time Position
• $25-$27 per hour
• Dedicated, Line Haul
• Day shift
• Home every weekend

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive a truck to deliver sheets or glass boxes to the customer's job site.
• Check vehicles to ensure fragile mechanical products and safety equipment are in good working condition.
• Follow proper safety procedures for transportation.
• Maintain records of work hours following applicable state and federal regulations.
• Cash checks from some customers when needed.
• Record delivery information on packing lists.
• Picks up or picks up empty containers or rejected goods.
• Load the truck and secure the products to prevent damage.
• Gets the customer's signature on the delivery receipt.
• Clean the inside of the truck.
• Perform daily inspections on trucks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Valid Commercial Driver's License CDL (Class A)
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Compliant with DOT and FMCSA Regulations
• Functional proficiency of the English Language per DOT requirements for safe operation
• Punctuality and flexibility
• Strong customer service skills
