Position Summary:

 

The Logistics Coordinator supports daily warehouse operations by ensuring the timely and accurate processing of customer orders, shipping documentation, labeling, dock scheduling, and inventory related administrative tasks. This role plays a critical part in elevating the customer experience through precise order execution, clear communication, and dependable service delivery.

The Logistics Coordinator works closely with the CSR Supervisor, Facility/Warehouse Manager, warehouse contractor, and cross-functional partners, including Customer Service, Logistics, Product Management, and HS&E, to ensure seamless coordination between office and warehouse activities. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety, accuracy, and Responsible Care values

 

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Order Processing & Documentation

  • Prepare and release daily order packets, including pick tickets, labels, staging instructions, packing pouches, and shipment documentation.
  • Ensure accuracy in all order entries, label creation, SKU/lot details, quantities, and special instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely updates in SAP, WMS, Visitrak and/or other order management systems.
  • Coordinate order flow with warehouse operations to ensure timely picking, staging, and loading.

Dock Scheduling & Driver Support

  • Schedule docks based on outbound and inbound requirements, export cutoffs, and operational capacity.
  • Manage driver check-in/checkout processes, ensure accurate documentation, and communicate loading instructions.
  • Serve as point of contact for carriers, drayage providers, and freight forwarders regarding appointment times, delays, and documentation needs.
  • Monitor warehouse shipment and delivery schedules and update corporate CSR teams daily

Inventory & Record Management

  • Support cycle counts and quarterly physical inventory activities by preparing documentation, recording results, and communicating discrepancies.
  • Maintain compliant recordkeeping for shipments, photos, export documentation, OS&D reports, and inventory adjustments.
  • Assist with reconciliation of counts, identification of discrepancies, and documentation required for root cause analysis.

Sample Order Creation & Shipment

  • Process and prepare sample orders, including material selection, labeling, documentation, and packaging.
  • Maintain an accurate and organized sample storage area.
  • Coordinate sample shipments with carriers or internal teams to ensure timely delivery and accurate tracking.

Customer Service & Communication

  • Provide timely, professional communication to internal partners such as Customer Service, Sales, Product Management, and Logistics.
  • Respond promptly to order related questions, documentation needs, and status requests.
  • Support rapid resolution of issues such as missing documents, shipment delays, order changes, or discrepancies.
  • Help uphold Kuraray's commitment to delivering a superior customer experience through accuracy, responsiveness, and proactive coordination.

Administrative & Compliance Support

  • Maintain logs, trackers, and required documentation for training records, SOP acknowledgments, and compliance programs.
  • Support the CSR Supervisor in maintaining SOPs, work instructions, and administrative workflows.
  • Follow all Responsible Care, HS&E, ISO 9001/14001, and site-specific requirements for documentation, data accuracy, and safe work practices.
  • Assist with visitor sign‑in, front‑office duties, and general administrative tasks when needed
  • This role is 100% onsite in a warehouse setting. 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  • 3 minimum of years of experience in customer service, administrative support, warehousing, logistics, or order processing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams) and comfort with ERP/WMS systems; SAP experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines with accuracy.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Candidates must have a valid driver's license.
