Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly responsible, detail-oriented, and execution-focused Logistics Manager to oversee domestic transportation operations and logistics coordination within the U.S.

This role will primarily focus on domestic transportation management, including carrier management and negotiation with FedEx, UPS, LTL, and trucking providers, logistics cost control, transportation exception handling, logistics data analysis, and process improvement initiatives. The position will also support U.S. side ocean freight coordination, customs clearance follow-up, and container delivery arrangements.

This role will work closely with carriers, brokers, warehouses, Accounting, IT, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to continuously improve transportation efficiency, logistics cost control, and overall operational performance. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication, problem-solving, execution, and operational management capabilities in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Domestic Transportation Management: 

  • Own transportation cost control, carrier performance management, and freight invoice accuracy to drive measurable improvements in cost and service levels. 
  • Oversee domestic U.S. transportation operations by managing relationships with FedEx, UPS, LTL carriers, and trucking partners to ensure peak service performance. 
  • Lead carrier negotiations and rate analyses to optimize costs while proactively resolving operational exceptions, delivery delays, and freight claims.
  • Leverage data-driven dashboards and collaborating with IT and Operations, you will refine logistics systems, audit freight expenses, and continuously improve SOPs to drive workflow efficiency. 

Ocean Freight Coordination: 

  • Support U.S. side coordination for inbound ocean containers, ensuring a seamless transition from port to warehouse. 
  • Be the key liaison between customs brokers, freight forwarders, and drayage carriers to facilitate timely customs clearance and delivery scheduling. 
  • Monitor container status and manage transportation exceptions, to maintain supply chain fluidity while assisting with the vital organization of import documentation and tariff-related data. 

Cross Functional Collaboration & Operation Support: 

  • Communicate effectively across Accounting, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Operations teams to ensure organizational alignment and seamless execution. 
  • Support  peak season logistics, proactively identifying operational gaps, and driving the initiatives necessary to resolve complex issues. 
  • Assist in monitoring logistics vendor performance to ensure high service quality and a commitment to continuous improvement across the supply chain.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or related fields. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. domestic transportation and logistics operations.
  • Experience working with FedEx, UPS, LTL, trucking carriers, and transportation providers.
  • Experience in carrier negotiation, pricing analysis, and transportation planning.
  • Familiar with freight invoice auditing and logistics cost analysis.
  • Strong ownership mentality, execution capability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume logistics environment.
  • Proficient in Excel and standard business software.
  • ERP system experience preferred.
  • DTC e-commerce or 3PL industry experience is strongly preferred.
Physical Demands:

This position primarily involves working at a desk and operating a computer for prolonged periods with moderate walking and standing.

Job Location and Work Schedule:
  • This is a full-time, on-site position based out of Tomball, TX.
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid schedule with one remote workday per week and four days onsite.
  • 13808 Boudreaux Road, Bldg. #2, Tomball, TX 77377.
  • 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Lunch break 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
  • The salary range is $70,000 - $90,000.
