POSITION SUMMARY:

We currently have openings in the operations department for the following positions: (Shifts hours are from 5 am -5 pm)

• Identify different wire sizes using a micrometer
• Stop/Start line when needed using the control panel.
• Butt weld rod at payoff.
• Removes finished wire stands off of dead block when completed.
• Measure the diameter and determine whether the material meets the specification.
• Adds lubricant when needed.
• Keep the area in good housekeeping condition.
• Performs changeovers
• Understands correct die lineups per gauge
• Operates equipment at target speeds.
• Troubleshoots quality issues as they occur.
• Demonstrates good EHS practice.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Follow established safety procedures when performing tasks and/or working with equipment.
• Read work instructions and set up machines as required to run different product sizes.
• Stand or walk for the entire shift and use arms and back to perform the tasks associated with the role.
• Must be able to work overtime as required with Saturday availability.

Requirements

NECESSARY SKILLS, BACKGROUND & COMPETENCIES:

• Minimum one year of work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Must be able to work in a team-based, positive, fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to understand written instructions and follow procedures.
• Must be able and willing to work 5 AM-5 PM and on WEEKENDS. Employees average at least 40 hours a week, no more than 50.
