Manager: Health Navigation (Job Overview)
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8AM-5PM)

Key Responsibilities
- Directly supervise and manage a team of health navigators, overseeing hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
- Conduct regular supervision, including goal setting and performance evaluations to ensure staff accountability and growth.
- Manage workforce operations to ensure continuous, high-quality patient care and service delivery.
- Collaborate with the Director to develop and monitor departmental metrics and standard operating procedures.
- Lead program initiatives, including the design and evaluation of new curricula and patient engagement strategies.
- Oversee the development and updating of patient education materials and screening protocols.
- Train and coach staff on essential health competencies and practices.
- Identify skill gaps and create targeted training plans to enhance team performance.
- Facilitate team meetings to promote communication, clarify expectations, and align with key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure compliance with data quality standards across electronic health records and grant-required systems.
- Conduct routine chart reviews and case consultations to monitor quality of care and support improvement efforts.
- Support grant and contract management, ensuring timely reporting and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with marketing and leadership to enhance program visibility and impact.
- Participate in operational meetings, contributing to strategic planning and problem-solving.
- Build partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisor-level experience, including evaluating and managing performance, supporting process changes in the organization, and coaching, training, or leading a team.
- Previous experience managing practice operations or programs, including supervising direct reports.
- Previous leadership experience at a manager level.
- Previous experience with program management
- Previous experience in quality or process improvement.
- Previous experience in HIV testing and prevention activitiesÂ
- Previous experience with grant-funded activities and/or grants managementÂ
- Previous experience supervising direct reports across multiple locations
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
- Adept in decision making responsibilities.
- Working knowledge and understanding of statistics and graphical representation principles.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office). Demonstrated competency with an EHRS system
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to travel from office location to clinic sites is required, travel is typically 25% of time weeklyÂ
- This job requires access to confidential and sensitive information, requiring ongoing discretion and secure information management
- Ability to demonstrate core competencies of role within 90 days of hire
- Bilingual English/Spanish fluency preferred
