Material Handler – Fabrication Shop (Forklift Experience Required)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dependable Material Handler with forklift experience to support daily operations in a fast-paced fabrication shop. This position is responsible for safely moving raw materials and finished products, supporting production teams, and maintaining an organized work area.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift to move steel, pipe, plate, and other fabrication materials

• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently

• Stage materials for welders, fitters, and production teams

• Maintain proper inventory control and material tracking

• Assist with organizing yard and shop materials

• Perform daily forklift inspections and report mechanical issues

• Follow all company and OSHA safety regulations

• Keep work areas clean and free of hazards

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year forklift experience (sit-down preferred)

• Experience working in a fabrication shop, pipe yard, or industrial environment preferred

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in indoor/outdoor conditions

• Strong attention to safety and detail

• Reliable attendance and punctuality required

Work Environment:

• Industrial fabrication setting

• Exposure to heat, cold, noise, and heavy equipment

• Physically active position requiring standing, walking, bending, and lifting
