Summary: At Aptiv Interconnect, we inspire the world’s most innovative teams by doing the right thing, the right way. We are seeking a Manufacturing Support Specialist within the Engineering department, you will serve as the essential bridge between design intent, ERP master data, and shop floor execution across our MOG, Machine Shop, and RMT product lines. Your mission is to drive data integrity, acting as a primary gatekeeper for materials, components, and operational BOMs in our ERP system. You will support the engineering and operations teams by transforming designs into production-ready Bills of Materials (BOMs), updating CAD drawings, authoring clear work instructions, and providing hands-on troubleshooting and testing directly on the manufacturing floor.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate across departments including Engineering, Machine Shop, Production, Quality, and Purchasing to ensure BOM accuracy and process efficiency.
  • Empowerment: Spend active time on the shop floor to identify bottlenecks, communicate risks, and implement practical solutions for continuous improvement.

 

Position Requirements:

 

Education & Technical Qualifications

  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering Technology) or equivalent hands-on experience in a machine shop or technical production environment.
  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience in ERP master data entry, BOM architecture, production planning, or hands-on engineering support within a manufacturing/machine shop environment.
  • Industry Domain: Solid working knowledge of ERP systems (Visual ERP / Business Central NAV) with a focus on Master Data Management; strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints and GD&T; proficiency in SolidWorks for drawing updates, redlines, and data extraction.

Certifications & Competencies:

  • Systems Proficiency: ERP System (Visual ERP / Business Central NAV), SolidWorks & Draftsight (Drawing updates, viewing, data extraction), ADP.
