Job Summary

Langan is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its collaborative team in Texas in offices Dallas, Houston, Celina, Tyler, Austin or San Antonio. This individual will serve a key function in managing all aspects of natural resource planning, assessment and natural resource permitting of land development and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply intensive and diversified knowledge of natural resources/planning principles and practices.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the natural resource planning, assessment and natural resource permitting of land development and infrastructure projects;
  • Lead the preparation and modification of environmental assessments, impact statements, planning assessments and permit application documents;
  • Perform and manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines. Monitor budgets, schedules, and project timelines. Minimize write-offs by keeping projects on budget;
  • Prepare draft invoices, project billings, and assist in payment collections;
  • Demonstrate competency in areas of supervision and project management and participates in internal and external project management training; and
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science/Ecology/Planning; Master’s degree in Environmental Science/Ecology/Planning preferred;
  • 10+ years of work related experience in the field of natural resources, planning and permitting;
  • Extensive experience with local, state and federal land use permitting;
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple clients, projects and budgets;
  • Ability to effectively manage and coach staff;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities;
  • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment;
  • Ability to occasionally work during evenings and/or weekends as projects require;
  • Occasional travel to project sites and/or client locations, as required; and
  • Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
