Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paralegal to provide legal and administrative support to attorneys and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research, document preparation, case management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role requires professionalism, discretion, and a high level of attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, proofread, and maintain legal documents, correspondence, contracts, pleadings, and other legal filings.
- Conduct legal research using various online and traditional resources.
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files and legal records.
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, discovery, document production, and trial preparation.
- Coordinate document execution, filing deadlines, and court or regulatory submissions.
- Communicate with clients, courts, vendors, government agencies, and outside counsel as needed.
- Monitor case calendars, deadlines, and attorney schedules.
- Prepare summaries, reports, chronologies, and legal documentation for attorney review.
- Support contract administration and records management activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal and business information.
- Perform additional legal and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program.
- 3+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal environment.
- Experience drafting and reviewing legal documents and correspondence.
- Strong legal research and case management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of paralegal experience.
- Corporate, commercial, litigation, real estate, or contract management experience.
- Experience with legal document management systems and e-filing.
- Notary Public certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys and managing a high-volume workload.
